How to Fix Space Marine 2 Disconnecting Mid-Match
If Space Marine 2 connects normally and then drops you part-way through a mission, the session is being lost rather than refused. That points at connection stability over time — a wireless link, security software interrupting traffic, or your provider's routing — rather than at whether you can reach us at all.

Symptoms
You are thrown back to the main menu part-way through an Operation
Drops happen in heavy fights or during host migration
Mission progress and rewards from that run are lost
It happens more often in matches with players from other regions
Connect with a cable instead of Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is the most common cause of drops that only happen mid-match. A wireless link can lose packets for a fraction of a second without you noticing — enough to survive browsing, not enough to survive a live game session. Run an Ethernet cable from your router for one session and see whether the drops stop. If you cannot use a cable, move closer to the router and switch to the 5 GHz band if your router offers one.
Add the game folder to your antivirus and firewall exceptions. Security software scans traffic mid-session and interrupts it without showing a prompt, which looks exactly like a network drop. Add both the installation folder and the game's executable to your exception list. In Windows Security: Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Add or remove exclusions → Add an exclusion → Folder, then select your Space Marine 2 installation folder.
Change your DNS. Your provider's DNS can reroute you mid-session. Use Cloudflare or Google instead. Open Windows Settings → Network & Internet → your connection → Edit next to DNS server assignment → switch to Manual → turn on IPv4. Set the preferred DNS to
1.1.1.1and the alternative to1.0.0.1for Cloudflare, or8.8.8.8and8.8.4.4for Google. Save, then restart the game.
Still dropping?
Send us a report with your region, your internet provider, whether crossplay was enabled, and whether the drops occur at a specific point in a mission. That last detail separates a network problem from a game bug, and it is the one thing we cannot work out without you.
