World War Z VR: FAQ
Is World War Z VR a port? World War Z VR is a standalone experience made specifically for VR.
Do I need to play WWZ on PC before playing this game? This game features the same characters as the PC version, but you don't need to play that first to enjoy it.
Which VR headsets are supported? We support:
- Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, Meta Quest Pro.
- Steam VR (Valve Index, HTC Vive, Pico4, Meta Quest).
Can I play the game seated or standing? Yes, our game supports both seated and standing VR gameplay.
I’m new to VR. Is this game suitable for newcomers? Yes. For the best experience as a beginner, we recommend choosing a comfort preset and an easier difficulty setting.
Is the game multiplayer or single-player only? The game is single-player.
I get motion sickness in VR. How well is your game adapted for that? We offer a range of comfort settings in the menu, including vignette, subtitles settings, simplified mechanics options, and more in the Settings menu.
In what languages can I play World War Z VR? English, French (France), German, Russian, Spanish (Spain). You can select your preferred UI and subtitles language in the Gameplay Settings menu.
Do I need an internet connection to play World War Z VR? An internet connection is only required for downloading updates and uploading bug reports. The game is fully playable offline.
How will the movement be in World War Z VR? Is it just railing and shooting? The game has a full VR locomotion mode that also includes walking movement.
How many maps and episodes will the game have? There will be ten maps across three cities for you to play on, plus a tutorial.
Will the game allow you to roam the whole city in an open world? Each mission is a separate location where you need to fulfill your objectives and progress from one place to another at your own pace. World War Z VR is not an open-world game.
Will the special infected be the same ones as in the original World War Z? We have included some of the special infected, but they share a few differences from their original World War Z counterparts.
Will there be melee combat? The game has “pushing back” enemies with weaponized hands, but there is no full-fledged melee weapon class.
