Update 1.21 Operation: Breachpoint – Release Notes

Welcome to the release notes for Update 1.21 Operation: Breachpoint! This update includes a brand-new map, two stylish new pistols, and additional customization options for both factions.

NEW MAP: HOLD

We are excited to introduce our new map, Hold! We showed a brief teaser in the patch notes for the last update, and now it's officially here. Set in a police station under siege, Hold immerses players in intense, close-quarters engagements with restricted sightlines. The map features various vertical gameplay elements, including stairwells, balconies, and even a helipad!

Navigate a high-security complex where every room could be an ambush. Engage in intense battles throughout cell blocks, conference rooms, and narrow hallways!

Art & Graphics

  • Fixed an issue where Motion Blur remained active even when disabled in the settings.

  • Fixed an issue where a player's shadow could reveal their position through solid walls on low graphic presets.

  • Fixed an issue where the Romero 2x optic reticle was incorrectly aligned when using Picture-in-Picture mode.

  • Fixed an issue where certain scopes would physically clip into the laser sight on the Grease Gun when toggled to 1x mode.

  • Fixed an issue where rockets appeared to exit offset to the left from all launchers.

  • Fixed an issue where the M240B feed tray could clip through the weapon.

  • Fixed an issue where the barrel attachment of another player's S12K would completely disappear in third-person view.

  • Fixed an issue where the bolt animation on the AUG A3 and Masterkey underbarrel attachment would become distorted when continuing an interrupted reload.

  • Fixed an issue where a weapon’s magazine would vanish from first-person view if an underbarrel weapon reload animation was interrupted.

  • Fixed an issue where underbarrel attachments for the QBZ-97 and FAMAS F1 had missing world textures when lying on the ground.

  • Fixed an issue where the scope texture would disappear for a second when transitioning from the Point Shooting Grip to an optic sight.

  • Fixed an issue where the MP5A5 rail appeared different between the Loadout menu and third-person view when a suppressor was attached.

  • Fixed an issue where a player’s upper torso would completely disappear when equipping a gas mask.

  • Fixed an issue where parts of the player's legs would disappear when combining the Warlord Bottom cosmetic with Jackal Sneakers.

  • Fixed an issue where the GRS Gloves would clip into the sleeve of the Peacemaker top in third-person view.

  • Fixed an issue where character hands would clip through the S.O.R.T. Bottom cosmetic item.

  • Fixed an issue where the Revolt Top would clip into the Revolt Bottom and ammo carriers.

  • Fixed an issue where female character hairstyles would have missing hair segments when equipping the PMC Headset and the GRS Operator Scarf.

  • Fixed an issue where the Anchor and Imperial facial hair styles would fail to render when the GRS Operator Scarf was equipped.

  • Fixed an issue where the National Pride and Duct Taped DLC weapon skins would overlap or misalign on the SKS, RPK, OKP-7, and PKO-6 scopes.

  • Fixed an issue where NVG accessories would visually fall under a character's feet in third-person view after utilizing a resupply crate.

  • Fixed an issue where the third-person standing reload animation for the M24 was missing.

Gameplay

  • Fixed an issue where the firing rate of semi-automatic weapons could be increased by interrupting the animation with a melee attack.

  • Fixed an issue where players could perform an unintended accelerated backward jump.

  • Fixed an issue where players were completely blocked from firing during a melee attack animation with the Galil or Galil SAR.

  • Fixed an issue where the Flip-Up Sights on the MP7 were unavailable to the Insurgent faction.

  • Fixed an issue where the default reserve magazine count for the S12K with an extended magazine differed from intended specifications.

  • Fixed an issue where characters could occasionally spawn directly on top of one another in matches.

  • Fixed an issue where AI bots would not fire RPGs in PvE modes.

  • Fixed an issue where AI bots would not shoot at fire-support helicopters.

  • Fixed an issue where AI bots could target and shoot players through solid walls without visual contact or predictive awareness.

  • Fixed an issue where AI bots could begin firing their weapons before finishing their aiming animations.

Level Design & Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where a player could get underneath Objective C on Precinct.

  • Fixed an issue where Insurgent players could scale a wall on Prison to gain an unfair vantage point.

  • Fixed an issue on Farmhouse Domination where an unfair sightline allowed players to spawn-kill the opposing team.

  • Fixed an issue on Forest where a player could hide behind props on Push Security Objective A.

  • Fixed an issue on Power Plant where players could stand floating in mid-air above a destroyed building.

  • Fixed an issue on Trainyard where ambient fires from destroyed trucks and cars dealt no damage to players.

  • Fixed an issue on Hideout where room lighting was missing or distorted in several interior areas.

  • Fixed an issue where AI bots would endlessly respawn inside of vehicles on the Forest map.

  • Fixed an issue in Local Play on Hillside where bots would spawn hovering in the air above the first objective.

  • Fixed an issue where enemy tactical vehicles would fail to move to defend Objective A on Refinery Checkpoint Security.

  • Fixed an issue where enemy tactical vehicles would fail to move to defend Objective C on Forest Checkpoint Insurgents in Local Play.

  • Fixed an issue where trees would aggressively flicker in the background of the Loadout menu when playing on Ministry Day.

UI/UX

  • Fixed an issue where the underbarrel attachment ammunition counter would incorrectly switch to display the primary weapon's magazine count after swapping weapons.

  • Fixed an issue where the Security loadout on Outpost would continue to display in the Customize menu after switching factions.

  • Fixed an issue where weapon attachments would fail to display in the attachments user interface within the Tutorials Range.

  • Fixed an issue where marketing materials for select Duct Taped weapon skins mismatched their actual in-game visual appearance.

  • Fixed an issue where a typo in the Daily Challenge "Assault Rifles Sharpshooter".

  • Fixed an issue where the color values of the "Star" icon stood out unnaturally.

  • Fixed an issue where the store preview image for the Jackal DLC pack had too low of a resolution.

Mod Editor

  • Fixed an issue in the Mod Editor where attempting to package a mod with "Source Code Recompile" enabled would completely break the packaging function.

  • Fixed an issue where valid Windows-validated mods would fail to download or mount correctly on Linux community servers.

  • Fixed an issue where mod updates were failing to automatically download for subscribed players.

Miscellaneous

  • Fixed an issue where a player would be unable to connect to a server if another active user was inside wall collision geometry.

  • Fixed an issue where players would occasionally become completely locked out of selecting a class upon joining a server.

  • Fixed an issue where a 2-second client freeze occurred when toggling the global graphics quality preset to "Auto".

  • Fixed an issue where a party status update caused severe client freezes lasting up to 10 seconds.

  • Fixed an issue where drop-down menu selection sound effects were missing when switching weapon attachments in the Loadout screen.

  • Fixed an issue where the firing audio of a turret would continue to play sound to a player from first-person view, even after they stopped interacting with it.

  • Fixed an issue where the Commander and Observer radio lines confirming an artillery request would play simultaneously.

  • Fixed an issue on EGS clients where the game would fail to generate localized crash logs.

  • Fixed an issue preventing the "Wet Feet" achievement from unlocking if Basic Training was successfully completed while offline.
